Day before Turkey Day

This morning started well - lots of kids and all of them good, quiet, and smiling. First break I was on my own as Ed was doing laundry (see previous post), so ate my sandwiches and sat in the cave!! Second set started well - some line ups, but then one young and eager cousin/mother/sister wanted to see the picture just taken and tripped over the electrical cord plugged into the floor outlet. Then there were sparks and crackling, and the smell of burned cord - the camera wouldn't work and the computer attached to the camera went into sleep mode. On closer inspection the outlet was fried and we were NOT going to try to use that one. Thankfully it was close to the break time and the electrical people set up an alternative power source (extension cords all over the place). We got back on track for the start of the third set only to have two of the three printers run out of paper and toner........that slowed things down again.

All in all, everything went well enough.......we were over our goal!!!

We will watch the Macy's Day parade in the morning tomorrow and then see what happens after that - trip or veg or whatever.
