Ever wondered what Santa does when he's not in the workshop, training the reindeer, or sitting in a mall????? Well, worry not good readers, here is the answer - he sleeps in until 9AM, sits around the house in his PJs (yes, Santa has red flannel PJs with reindeer dancing all over), and doesn't get breakfast until 11:45AM. Then he does a little more surfing on the web (checking emails and Facebook) and takes one of his suits to the cleaners because one little bugger smudged up the fur with something red and now the bottom hem has a rather large (and very prominent) pink blot right about crotch area - not cool!!!
Then Santa and the Wrangler set out to explore a bit of Fresno - the Christmas Lane neighbourhood. This up scale area is filled with million dollar houses and they string the tree lined lane with lights in the trees, one the houses, and anywhere else lights can be strung. Along with the lighting effects there is also a sound system. This five block street also hosts a walking tour where residents hand out hot apple cider and sing Christmas carols (OH, JOY - more carols - did I tell you the mall has Christmas carols playing ALL THE TIME?? - used to love that music, now I am having a bit of trouble). Should be interesting and it all starts just after Thanksgiving.
After Christmas Lane we stopped at Martins. This store is filled with all manner of Christmas decorations - wreaths, trees, flowers, tinsel, ribbon, ivy, holly, and anything else that is real looking but very fake. Think Michael's but classier. Incredible.
Back home for a sundown drink (Manhattans today) and relax watching TV and having salmon and rice.
