Waaaay Tardy in posting this....there was just not time while we were in Fresno. But while we were there I noticed that the wineries in Madera, just north of Fresno, were having one of their events. The wineries market themselves as the Madera Wine Trail.
Among the members of the group is Quady Winery maker of Quady Elysium and Quady Essencia and a host of other wonderful things!
For a very modest fee you were invited to each of the eight or so wineries to sample their wares. Several of them make most excellent ports and for the occasion were having premium cigars available to enjoy with their ports.....well....you don't have to ask twice!!
Quady had arranged huge sofas and big screen TVs in one of their warehouses....some fantabulous blue cheese and other munchies....an idyllic afternoon....one I will enjoy again next year!
